Hunger in America

Many people do not realize how many Americans starve every day. 49 million Americans suffer from starvation and go hungry. Nearly 17 million of the 49 million are children while 5 million are seniors.

People who go hungry are more likely to suffer from:
  • Fatigue
  • Weaker immune systems
  • Stomaches
  • Headaches
  • Colds
  • Ear Infections

Save the Honeybees

Honeybees have been disappearing recently. Scientists have called this strange disorder CCD, or Colony Collapse Disorder. One third of our world's bee population is already gone. And thousands disappear in days! At this rate, they should be extinct by about 2035.

Albert Einstein once predicted that once bees were extinct, the human race would follow in four years. If he is correct, we should also perish in about 2039.

We are not just saving honeybees. We are also saving ourselves.

Think about it. No honeybees to pollinate our crops, no more crops, which leads to no more food. Well, not exactly no more food, but only we would have only a few foods to eat. So unless you would like to eat corn, wheat, and rice for the rest of your lives (which would not be that much longer), you should pitch in too.

That's right. There would be no more fruits, nuts, field crops, or vegetables. We would not be healthy without servings of fruit, veggies, and meat every day.

But this doesn't have to happen. We can do something about it. We can make a difference. If we all did one little thing, we can accomplich much.

I am

I am not a pessimist. I am merely an optimist that thinks like a pessimist. I am here to tell you that our world is not flawless. We have problems that can be solved.

Many of these problems will have a huge effect. The problems can change life as we know it. We must do something about them.
